The Blogging Guilt

Why is it that I feel almost guilty about not blogging it up for a while? I wish I didn't. But I feel like I'm an editor missing my deadlines. A sprinter, that never finished the race. You know? ;) haha I am just waiting to get my pictures uploaded, and honestly you will all be blog overloaded because we have been so busy lately and the camera has been involved in the adventure. It's going to be nuts. But I have to get the silly pics first! Dangit. Oh well. I am just at work right now...dreading tomorrow because my best friend Danielle is leaving for Uganda and South Africa for 2 months!!!! How am I going to survive!!!?? AHHH. I get to see her tonight though, and give her the sweet gifts I have prepared for her on her journey. HOLLA! I'm stoked. Well...that's all for now. Just wanted to apologize to all my daily subscribers, and tell you that I haven't forgotten about you, and I will provide a rather nice and lengthy blog in the near future.

Family Birthday's and a tribute to my dog

It was my Grandma's and cousin Jessica's birthday celebration at my family's house yesterday. Always good to eat cake and enjoy a roast beef dinner with the fam. Birthday's and holiday's are usually the only time we get to see extended family...so we try to make it out to these things. You wont notice Danny in any of these photos because he is the photographer.

I think Kyla looks like an actual doll in this picture. It's almost scary.

Here is the one picture I was able to sneak of Natalie and Kyla.
And now for my little bud Pepsi. We both decided to wear hoodies yesterday. She's I think 1 and a half in human years. And she is just my favorite. She likes to run away from me though because I hug her too much.
She does not look impressed here. She almost reminds me of a human in this picture. haha

She isn't very photogenic because her eyes always reflect the flash.

This is my favorite. She's sticking out her tongue at Danny.

The Condo

Well many of you have never seen our little condo, so I figured I'd give you a small tour. It's really not that big...AND I didn't take pictures of everything. There is only one bedroom...and we are still looking for some more art or little decorative pieces to put around.

This first room is our cozy bedroom. It was night when I took this, normally it's a little brighter in there.

This is our "dining room". If you walk through that door you will be in the bedroom, and if you turn around and face the other direction you will be facing the living room.

Here is our living room...its the longest room in our place. If I were to open the blinds you would see our patio...and the parking lot. We're on the main floor.

And here is a picture of half our kitchen. There is a lot more to it than what this pic shows...but it was messy and my man was busy cleaning. Here is proof he likes to do the dishes. Look how happy he is! (And through that door is our laundry room/pantry. ) Strange I know.

And that's it really! We have a hallway that leads to a washroom, but there isn't much else! Sometimes its a little too cozy for my liking...but we were very blessed to even have a place this nice our first year of marriage.

A Walk in the Park

Yesterday a bunch of us went to the weekly old fashioned comedy movie viewing at the museum again. Many laughs were had...and the scene was set in Italy...old-school Italy. I quite enjoyed it. But before hand, Danielle and I walked around the Glenora area... my absolute favorite area in Edmonton. They have the most darling houses ever...and the walk is filled with beautiful large trees...it just feels good to be there. We started off at Starbucks...(where else?!!)...and walked and walked...until it started to rain. And then really rain. And then we ran...or should I say sprinted. For about 4 blocks...until we seriously couldn't really breathe anymore. It was funny and exhausting all at the same time. And because I'm such a creeper...I took pictures of my favortie houses along the way. haha

Save me from the moustache!!!!

Why is it that men feel the need to grow facial hair?? Especially when they know it doesn't look good. Danny, along with nearly all the guys grew a beard for our trip to Africa (those who could) because supposedly men respect you more in Niger if you have facial hair. It looked good on Danny. Or should I say decent. I liked it for a little while, I enjoy the peach fuzz. But then it started to get long. And too bush-man like. So recently I started to beg him to shave it. For about 15 days...maybe more. I'm not 100% sure. Finally yesterday I hear water running in the sink for a long time. A clue that lead me to believe my man would soon come out from the washroom as the fresh, clean-cut boy that I remember. To my dissapointment, Danny did come out with his face shaved. But only slightly. He had giant CHOP-like strips falling down the side of his face. I was in complete shock. I couldn't even make eye contact with him because he just creeped me out!!! Needless to say, the couple remarks I made about not being able to be seen with him in public made him go back into the washroom to shave one more time. (Without even taking a picture.) But this time...he came out with less facial hair...but the result...not so impressive. He has a full on moustache. And I hate it. Anyone up for a tackle session as we pin him down and get it off? Please? Anyone? Nair maybe?

Pictures as promised...

CHEERS!

Here are some random booth pictures we took this week I thought I'd share...they wont get any bigger for some reason! We went to a gourmet candy shop at West Edmonton Mall...which is SUCH bad news for us. We LOOOOVVVVEEE candy. And gourmet shops are a million times worse than any shop because the selection is just ridiculous. We bought some Coke bottles and celebrated eating them in the photo booth. Oh the things we do to have fun. Sorry you have to witness it. ;P -this is me sticking out my tongue

Mario vs. Luigi

That's right...it's official. We have Super Nintendo. Don't ask me why or how...we just do. Danny and I have been playing for a few days now. Super Mario Brothers. He is always Mario, and I am always Luigi...although I don't think that is very fair. It's like Mario is the hero. His name ALWAYS comes first...and I mean the game is even called Super MARIO Brother's. I think there is a conspiracy. Like even today while Danny was getting some food at lunch, I played as Luigi, and I died, and then I played a round for Danny as Mario and I passed a whole level! Maybe it's my turn to make Luigi shine. Maybe this is my big chance to do something unheard of. I don't really know. But it's fun. And I'm so proud of us for finding another way to waste our time. ha.
